Living with diabetes is about much more than knowing what you “should” do.
Real life includes busy schedules, grocery shopping, eating out, stress, family responsibilities, travel, exercise, finances, medications, and days when things simply do not go as planned.
My coaching is designed to help you understand your diabetes more clearly and build practical habits that fit your everyday life.
Who This Is For
Individual Wellness Coaching may be a good fit if you:
- Feel overwhelmed by diabetes information
- Want help making sense of food choices and daily routines
- Struggle with consistency
- Want to better understand how meals, movement, stress, and sleep may affect your glucose
- Use a CGM and want help recognizing patterns
- Want practical guidance instead of another list of rules
- Need accountability and encouragement
- Want to make healthier changes without turning your life upside down
You do not have to be perfect. The goal is to understand what is happening, make better-informed choices, and build habits you can realistically maintain.
What Working With Me Looks Like
I do not believe diabetes wellness should be one-size-fits-all.
We look at what is actually happening in your life and identify areas where practical changes may help. That may include:
- How you shop for food
- What and when you eat
- Eating at restaurants or family gatherings
- Your daily movement and exercise
- Stress and how it may affect glucose
- Sleep and everyday routines
- CGM patterns and trends
- Staying consistent when life gets busy
- Preparing questions for conversations with your healthcare team
The goal is not to make your life revolve around diabetes. The goal is to help you understand diabetes well enough that healthier choices become easier to fit into your life.
Virtual Coaching From Anywhere
You do not need to live near me to work with me.
Individual coaching is available virtually, so I can work with people across the U.S. and beyond.
Virtual sessions allow us to talk face-to-face, review what has been happening in your day-to-day life, discuss challenges, and create practical next steps without requiring travel.
My Four-Pillar Approach
Education
Understanding what is happening in your body and why. When you understand diabetes better, it becomes easier to make informed decisions rather than simply following instructions without knowing the reason behind them.
Nutrition
Finding food choices that support better health while still fitting your preferences, lifestyle, budget, and everyday routines.
Exercise
Using movement in practical ways that can support overall health and glucose management. Exercise does not have to mean spending hours in a gym.
Consistency
This is where lasting change happens. Small actions repeated over time are often more realistic and more valuable than trying to make dramatic changes that are difficult to maintain.
What to Expect From a Session
Each session is centered around what is most important to you at that time.
We may review what has been going well, where you have been struggling, patterns you are noticing, and areas where you would like more clarity.
From there, we identify realistic steps you can work on before the next session.
My role is to educate, support, ask questions, help you look at your habits more clearly, and give you practical strategies you can use in everyday life.
Is Coaching a Good Fit for You?
Coaching may be helpful if you are ready to take a more active role in your diabetes wellness but would like someone to help you sort through the information and turn it into practical action.
You do not need to have everything figured out before we talk.
That is part of what coaching is for.
